REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE ???

On a Saturday morning, I like to sit down on my comfy black leather couch with my warm fluffy blanket over my smooth delicate skin. I like to turn the lights off in my living room and open the curtains so the bright shinning sun can hit the corner of my face and bring natural light into the room. I like eating my Frosted Flakes and milk in a huge bowl while watching my favorite cartoon, Spongebob Squarepants. I love to do this because it reminds me of when I was a little kid. I would usually wake up every Saturday morning and do this same routine over and over and over again. It gives me a warm feeling on the inside, it makes me feel as if everything is okay and I have nothing to worry about just how a little kid would feel. All they have to do is eat, sleep, and watch TV. Ahhhh… those were the days. Sometimes I wish I could just rewind back time and be a kid again. As a kid life was great for me. I remember one Christmas morning; my cousins, aunt, mother, sisters and were all sitting around the Christmas tree opening presents one by one. When it came to my turn, I opened up my present with excitement and anxiousness. I ripped up the present as if I were a lion devouring a deer. Once the wrap over the present was shredded into pieces I came to realization that it was the gift I had been wishing for. It was my Barbie car wash set and my Barbie C-D Player. I immediately began to play with my toys with a huge smile on my face. It was one of the best days of my life that I can remember as a child. But now that I’m a 15 year old/ ordinary teenager from Brooklyn, NY life isn’t so much like that any longer. Now on a Saturday morning I can’t get all comfy under my warm fluffy covers and watch Spongebob Square pants. I have to wake up around seven-thirty a.m. and get ready for my College Now classes at City Tech. Life is great when your young, so I say enjoy it while it lasts. Hopefully one day I can return to my usual Saturday mornings but for now I’m just going to have to deal.
